Sae Youn Kim is a partner at Yulchon who practices primarily in the
areas of litigation and arbitration law with an emphasis on commercial
and international law. She is the deputy head of the firm’s
international dispute resolution team. Before joining Yulchon, she
served as a judge at various Korean district courts including the Seoul
District Court, the Daejeon District Court, and the Suwon District
Court. She was also an attorney at Lee & Ko for a number of years.
Ms Kim is currently a Commissioner for the Administrative Appeals
Commission under the Prime Minister and an arbitrator at the Korean
Commercial Arbitration Board.
A graduate of Seoul National University, College of Law (LL.B., 1991),
Ms Kim also holds advanced degrees from Duke Law School (LL.M., 2007 and
S.J.D., 2008).
