Sai Ree Yun is one of Yulchon’s founding partners and oversees the
firm’s practice groups. He practices primarily in the areas of corporate
law, antitrust, taxation, and governmental relations.
Mr Yun’s legal acumen is internationally recognised. He is perennially
selected as a leading lawyer by numerous publications across a wide
range of legal fields. Mr Yun earned this reputation by successfully
representing numerous major corporations in many important deals and
projects, including Goldman Sachs, the Carlyle Group, Citigroup, GE,
AMD, LVMH, RealNetworks, Samsung Electronics, SK Corporation, Hyundai
Motors, Lotte Shopping, and Bridgestone Corporation, among others.
Mr Yun has also served as outside legal adviser to various government
agencies such as the Korea Fair Trade Commission and the Ministry of
Trade, Industry, and Energy. He has been on the Legal Advisory Committee
of the Korean Broadcasting Commission and was a Technical Adviser for
the Tax Policy Review Council for the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
Mr Yun received his LL.B. (1976) and LL.M. (1980) from Seoul National
University. He also holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (1982) and a
J.D. from Hastings College of Law, University of California (1986).
