Kevin Qian is a founding partner of MWE China Law Offices. Kevin
received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota, and LL.M from the
East China University of Political Science and Law. Kevin focuses his
practice on corporate and commercial law. He has extensive experience
in venture capital and private equity transactions, mergers and
acquisitions, joint ventures, capital market and other commercial
business transactions. During his legal career, Kevin has successfully
represented numerous cross-border transactions for both
Fortune 500 and well-known Chinese companies.
Kevin was a partner at Allbright Law Offices from 2001 to 2006 and
served as a key director of its Executive Committee. Prior to
Allbright, he worked for Philips Electronics Asia and PepsiCo Investment
China Co., Ltd as Deputy General Manager and Senior Legal Counsel
respectively. Kevin was the first Chinese lawyer to be elected as
Chairman of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) International Trade
Committee in 2004, and served as the IPBA Program Coordinator from 2009
to 2011. He has been elected as the head of International Law
Committee of All China Lawyers Association since April 2011. Kevin was
recognised as one of Asia’s Leading Business Lawyers by Asian Legal
Business (ALB) from 2002 to 2008 for his outstanding practice in
corporate law, specially relating to capital markets, corporate finance,
and M&A. In 2006, Kevin was nominated by the International Who’s
Who of Corporate Governance Lawyers as one of the World’s Leading
Practitioners.
