Stephanie is an associate in the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group of Wong & Partners.
Her main area of focus includes mergers and acquisitions including
divestitures, spin offs, takeovers, joint ventures and other business
combinations for both local and cross-border transactions. She has
undertaken numerous transactions in various industries such as
insurance, banking, education, manufacturing, petrochemicals and
oleochemicals etc. She has also worked on various corporate
reorganisations for publicly listed and non-listed Malaysian companies
including transactions involving statutory schemes of arrangements and
statutory amalgamations/mergers.
She has also advised clients on issues relating to regulatory
compliance, exchange controls, directors’ duties, shareholders’ rights,
outsourcing, general insolvency law and general commercial and
employment law.
Stephanie was named one of ‘Asia’s Leading Lawyers’ in “General
Corporate Practice and Mergers & Acquisitions” in 2008 & 2009 by
Asialaw and was named a Leading Lawyer in “Insurance & Reinsurance
and Mergers & Acquisitions” in 2010 & 2011.
She was admitted to practice in Malaysia in 2007. She holds a Bachelor
of Laws (Honours) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
