Frans Hendra Winarta is the founder and managing
partner of Frans Winarta & Partners. Frans has extensive knowledge
in criminal, civil and commercial law, Intellectual Property Rights and
has been practicing litigation, commercial arbitration and ADR for more
than 30 years. He is an arbitrator of the ICC, BANI, the SIAC, etc., a
member of the Governing Board of the National Law Commission, a country
representative of the IBA and a member of the Board of Council of the
IBA Human Right Institute in the 1990s, and a law professor at Pelita
Harapan University. He has written books on legal aid, commercial
arbitration, litigation and human rights, and is a columnist for law
journals and printed media. He has been a speaker in various national
and international law seminars, and has been appointed as chairman of
Peradin (Indonesian Advocate Association) for the period of 2009-2013.
He has been a member of the International Bar Association in London
since 1985, a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) since 1987, a
source for Amnesty International in London, a source for the
International Commission of Jurists in Geneva since 1990, a member of
the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) in Tokyo in 1991-1993, and a
member of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) since 1997.
