Ms Rita Tyastuti Taufik has worked with ABNR since 1991 and became a
partner on January 1 2001. She graduated from the Faculty of Law,
University of Indonesia in 1982, majoring in Civil Law. In 1997, she was
seconded to the Singapore Office of Loeff Clays Verbeke, subsequent to
which, in 1998, she was seconded to the Jakarta Office of The Hongkong
and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC).
Rita’s principal areas of practice have been corporate, capital markets,
foreign investment, plantation, mining, property including land
acquisitions, mergers & acquisitions, and banking. Her major client
representations include representing and advising Wilmar Group in its
reserve take over transaction as well as in its various other
transactions; and PT Salim Ivomas Pratama (SIMP), a subsidiary of PT
Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk., in its reverse take over transaction as
well as and in this Group’s various other transactions. In the field of
capital markets, her representations include Kencana Agri Pte’s IPO and
the $204 million Right Issues of PT Central Proteinaprima Tbk. Recently,
she was involved in SIMP’s $117 million Bond and $29 million Bond Sukuk
Ijarah issuance and SIMP’s IPO.
Rita has also acted as adviser to IBRA (Indonesian Banking Restructuring
Agency) in several asset disposal and share acquisition projects, and
has been part of the ABNR teams of lawyers that are working on behalf of
consortia of lenders in different restructuring projects
