Mr Tejas Karia is partner in the Dispute Resolution practice at New
Delhi office of Amarchand Mangaldas. He specialises in International
and Domestic Commercial Arbitrations, Corporate Litigations, Information
Technology Law, Real Estate Disputes, Securities Laws and General
Corporate Advisory.
He has wide experience in international and domestic arbitrations in
shareholders’ disputes, oil and gas sector and property disputes. He has
represented Indian and multinational clients in arbitrations before the
LCIA, ICC and SIAC.
In corporate litigations, Mr Karia represents transnational corporations
before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts in India,
Company Law Board and other forums in India. He also advises on large
scale real estate projects including drafting documentation, advice on
transaction structures and handling litigation proceedings. Mr Karia has
advised and successfully handled complex securities litigations before
the Securities Appellate Tribunal and Supreme Court of India.
In the field of information technology, Mr Karia specialises in data
protection, privacy and employee confidentiality issues. He was involved
in providing advice and drafting the legislation on Data Protection in
India. He is also a part of E-Commerce, Privacy, Technology and
Outsourcing Leadership Practice Group of Lex Mundi and member of FICCI
IT Working Group on Information Technology.
