Mr Ciccu Mukhopadhaya is a senior partner at Amarchand Mangaldas. Until
recently, Mr Mukhopadhaya straddled both non-contentious and litigation
practice groups of the Firm. In the transaction side, his experience is
in various fields such as projects, mergers, acquisitions and joint
ventures, oil & gas contracts, power purchase agreements etc.
In the last few years, he has given up transaction practice and has
concentrated entirely on arbitration and litigation practice. His
experience and expertise in international arbitration is well
recognised, both in India and outside.
Mr Mukhopadhaya’s experience in arbitrations include both ad hoc and
institutional, such as the ICC Rules, the LCIA Rules, SIAC, UNCITRAL,
GAFTA and FOSFA etc. which cover company-shareholder disputes,
infrastructure projects, construction, oil & gas contracts, PPA’s,
trade and shipping disputes etc.
He is also well known for his expertise in the fields of projects,
mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures and is also actively
involved in court proceedings including reference to arbitrations, grant
of interim measures of protection, post award challenges and
enforcement of foreign awards.
He is among the 15 Vice Presidents of the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) Court of International Arbitration.
