Diljeet Titus is the founder of Titus & Co Advocates. Based in New
Delhi, India, his areas of expertise includes mergers and acquisitions,
securities regulations and commercial transactions. His client
representations include over 48 Fortune 500 Global Corporations from
USA, Japan, Europe and Australia. He represents clients in major private
and government mergers and acquisitions.
Diljeet advises clients on multi party cross-border financing and
investment transactions including through equity, debt and other
instruments. He also has considerable experience in venture capital
investments and private equity. His M&A experience includes tax
structuring of investments and related financing, due diligence and
negotiation of financing agreements as well as restructurings and
acquisitions. Diljeet has considerable experience in coordination of
work of other specialists, including investment bankers, insurance
consultants, independent engineers, technical consultants and local
governmental specialists. On the regulatory side, Diljeet has obtained
merger and finance clearances from the Indian Department of
Telecommunications, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of
Finance, Reserve Bank of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India
and the Software and Technology Parks of India for client transactions
in the sectors of power, information technology, biotechnology and
telecommunications.
Diljeet was presented the National Law Day Award 2007 “For Unique
Achievement and Leadership in the Practice of Corporate and Commercial
Laws” by Hon’ble President of India Ms Pratibha Devisingh Patil. He has
also been designated as Commendatore dell’ Ordine della Stella della
Solidarieta Italiana (Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity) by a
Decree of the President of Italy H. E. Mr Giorgio Napolitano during a
ceremony on March 18, 2009.
Diljeet has been ranked by Chambers & Partners, UK among the leading
lawyers of the world for 2003-2010 in the specialist area of projects
work. He was voted “Leading Lawyer” in Project Finance and Mergers and
Acquisitions by Asialaw Leading Lawyer Survey 2002-2010; as a
“Recommended Individual” in Projects and M&A by Which Lawyer?
