Mr Wang is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong, England & Wales and
the People’s Republic of China. Mr Wang was firstly qualified in the PRC
and after two years of legal practice in Beijing, he went to London in
1988 working for a city firm. In 1991, Mr Wang came to study in Hong
Kong University and passed the PCLL in Hong Kong, becoming the first PRC
lawyer to qualify to practice law in Hong Kong.
After Hong Kong University, Mr Wang joined the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
as a member of the legal expert group for the preparation of forthcoming
H share listing of PRC companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr
Wang joined Richards Butler’s corporate finance department in 1993. In
1996, Mr Wang moved from legal practice to investment banking and joined
Peregrine and ING Barings respectively as a director in their
investment banking divisions. In 2001 Mr Wang established X.J. Wang
& Co. and the firm is now merged with Jun He Law Offices, PRC.
Mr Wang obtained his LLB from China People’s University and LLM from the Graduate School of China’s Academy of Social Sciences.
Mr Wang is specialised in corporate finance and other capital market
related transactions. In his over two decades legal practice, Mr Wang
completed numerous IPOs, M&As, direct investment, and many other
corporate and commercial transactions.
