L Viswanathan is a partner of Amarchand Mangaldas and heads the project
finance practice. He has rich experience in project finance and banking
and advises India’s leading corporate and financial institution on
infrastructure projects. He also advises clients in Restructuring of
Infrastructure Projects and on Regulatory issues.
He has advised clients with respect to several landmark transactions
including the Dabhol Power Project. Petronet’s LNG Terminal and the
Mumbai and Delhi Airport. In the roads sector, he has advised clients
with respect to several road projects in India including, the KMP
Expressways ltd (the largest and longest road project in India) and the
Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Project. He has advised lenders to India’s
first private cross country pipeline and Indian’s largest privatised
road project.
He joined the firm in 1994 after graduating from the National Law School
of India University, Bangalore and was made partner in the firm in
2000.
