Ms Kong Wei is a partner at Grandall Law Firm, Beijing Office with more
than 16 years’ private practice experience in China. Ms Kong specialises
in the banking and finance practice, having advised clients on
financial transactions such as loan facilities, mortgages, syndicated
loans, project financing, derivatives, bank notes, convertible bonds etc
for many reputable commercial banks, as well as rendering long term
legal services for various stated-owned banks, commercial banks and
non-banking financial institutions.
Over the years, Ms Kong has worked on many equity investment projects
for stated-owned entities and many multinational companies in direct
investments and mergers & acquisitions in various industries. Kong
Wei holds an LL.B and obtained her Masters degree of Civil and
Commercial Laws in the People’s University. She has also obtained an
LL.M from the University of Sydney, Australia, majoring in banking and
corporate finance. She has published several articles in magazines and
newspapers relating to foreign exchange mortgage loans, taxation of
foreign-invested enterprises and contract guaranties etc. Some of her
more notable clients include China Development Bank, China Minsheng
Banking Corp., Ltd., Bank of Beijing, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank,
Beijing Branch and Nortel Networks (China) Ltd.
