Professional Experience: Mr Liu started his practice in
1989. In 1993, he was trained at one leading international law firm in
its London and Hong Kong offices.
Mr Liu’s practice is heavily international. Mr Liu has actively
represented a number of international companies and banks in
structuring, negotiation, document preparation and rendering of legal
opinion in many investment and finance projects, including
petrochemical, semiconductor, steel, automobile, power, water, toll
road, commercial property and other industries. In recent years, Mr Liu
has advised foreign banks in their strategic cooperation with PRC banks,
advised private equity funds in acquiring commercial property and
infrastructure projects, assisted in setting up fund management joint
venture, auto finance company, insurance company and other financial
institutions.
Mr Liu is an arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade
Arbitration Commission and also Shanghai Arbitration Commission,
visiting law professor of East China University of Politics and Law.
Mr Liu was awarded the Legal Personality of the Year 2003 and China
Dealmaker of the year 2009 by Asian Legal Business and also was
recommended by the Global Leading Lawyers since 2000 continuously by
Chambers & Partners and by Asia Law & Practice as a leading
lawyer.
