Dr Zhang is a senior partner based in the Shanghai office.
Dr Zhang worked respectively with the United Nations Conference on Trade
and Development, a foreign law firm, and multinational companies. He
has over 12 years of experience working with foreign multinationals in
China as general counsel and compliance officer, providing high quality
legal and tax services, and in the meantime gained valuable business
experience.
Since joining Boss & Young, Dr Zhang has successfully counselled a
wide range of well-known multinational companies in the manufacturing
and real property sectors, with particular focus on chemical, sports,
real estate, mechanical and electronic manufacturing and food industry.
He has extensive experience advising on strategic matters like M&A,
joint venture, corporate restructuring, liquidation, corporate
governance, and successfully coped with many legal issues in connection
with daily operation, including land use right, construction projects,
project financing, labour and employment issues, and commercial
disputes. His clients include those of Fortune 500 and SMEs, and most of
them are from North America and Europe.
Dr Zhang has his L.L. B. from Wuhan University Law School of China,
L.L.M. and Ph. D. in law from University of Geneva, Switzerland. His
working languages are Chinese, English and French.
