Run Ming Law Office recently advised Bank of Communications Finance Leasing on its first closing of an aircraft leasing deal using a special purpose vehicle. The transaction represented the first time that an A320 passenger plane has been imported into China via leasing, and the deal was valued at US$40 million.

The tax advisory team recently acted on a local tax bureau’s anti-tax investigation into a series of transactions made by a leading US investment bank in order to dispose its equity shares in a leading Chinese state owned food group. Run Ming is also advising on a proposed deal structure between a US investment bank and a Chinese state owned bank for a joint investment in US bonds.
