Ruben T Del Rosario, charter president of the Philippine Maritime Voluntary Arbitrators Association, was again invited to sit in the latest tripartite body that formulated the 2010 POEA standard employment contract for all Filipino seafarers. He was also involved in discussions leading to the Amended Migrant Workers’ Act (Republic Act 10022) and its implementing rules. Arturo T Del Rosario is trustee and past president of the Philippine Bar Association, the oldest and one of the most respected voluntary organizations of lawyers in the Philippines. He is a trustee of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP) and is an accredited mediator of the Court of Appeals’ Philippine Mediation Center.
The firm’s partners are regularly invited to speak in various forums, both local and international, concerning shipping developments in the Philippines. Partner Joseph Manolo R Rebano, trustee and past president of the Maritime Law Association of the Philippines (MARLAW) and Vice Chairman of the Maritime Law Committee of the IPBA, has been invited to the technical working group discussion on the proposed Maritime Code of the Philippines. Partner Charles Jay D. Dela Cruz is a trustee of the Law Foundation of Makati City and the Norwegian Maritime Foundation of the Philippines. Partner Herbert A.
