Ideation Acquisition Corp has acquired media company SearchMedia International, an operator of outdoor billboards and other advertising networks in China, for US$176.7 million.
Ideation, a Cayman Islands-domiciled special purpose acquisition corporation listed on Amex in New York, changed its name to SearchMedia Holdings as part of the deal.
