The fierce competition in the region for top-class tax advice is reflected in the nominations for the Asia Tax Awards 2009, which were recently announced by International Tax Review.
No one firm dominates the shortlists, though the big-four accounting firms and international law firms and networks, such as Baker & McKenzie and Taxand, are well represented.
And these six are the nominees for the Asia Tax Firm of the Year award, the most prestigious of the evening, which goes to the firm with a number of different specialists in key areas of tax throughout the region and which had a consistent record between August 2008 and August 2009 of delivering top-class service to clients.
