AerDragon turned to The Export-Import Bank of China (C-EXIM) for a US$230 million term loan facility to finance the deal.
AerDragon took title of the first aircraft upon delivery on June 22 and immediately leased it to Sichuan Airlines in Tianjin. Sichuan Airlines became the first operator of A320 in China in 1995 when it entered into an operating lease with AIG’s International Lease Finance Corporation.
Hong Kong-based Emma Casdagli led the Richards Butler in association with Reed Smith team advising C-EXIM. Run Ming Law Office provided PRC law advice through a team led by Beijing-based senior partner Liu Yi.
AerDragon was advised by Clifford Chance, led by Singapore-based partner Simon Briscoe.
